What we can include in your project

We confirm the exact scope, provider requirements and costs in your proposal. These are possible inclusions, not an automatic bundle.

Provider and number planning

Compare established providers against coverage, features, support, portability and team needs. Coordinate number purchases or porting only after ownership, timing and possible disruption are checked.

Routing that matches the working day

Configure extensions, ring groups, queues, menus, business hours, overflow and voicemail. Separate new enquiries from existing-job calls without making customers navigate a maze.

Connected devices and conversations

Set up supported mobile and desktop softphones or compatible desk phones. Connect voicemail, messages and CRM records where the provider and software plans support it.

Continuity and team training

Document who administers the account, what happens during an outage and how staff transfer calls. Review emergency-calling limitations, location information and recording or transcription settings.

A practical example

A call rings the office first, then an approved on-call group. If nobody answers, a voicemail or permitted missed-call response creates a follow-up task. Your team can see the customer context rather than starting again.

What to bring to the first conversation

Have your carrier account details, proof of number ownership, current handset list and routing requirements ready. Do not cancel an existing number before a port is confirmed complete.

Common questions

Is Trai the phone carrier?

No. Trai provides VoIP and unified communications setup and integration through established telecommunications providers. Your provider supplies the public phone service under its own terms.

Will the phone work during an internet or power outage?

Not necessarily. VoIP can depend on power, connectivity and provider availability, including for 000 calls. We review the provider’s limitations and agree suitable backup arrangements; availability cannot be guaranteed.

Are call plans included?

Carrier plans, numbers, devices and usage charges are separate unless the written scope explicitly says otherwise. We explain the proposed provider arrangement before setup.

Clear boundaries

Technology and implementation, with the right people involved.

Trai implements through established providers and is not the underlying carrier. Emergency-call limitations and recording consent must be reviewed.
